Loire Wines – Diversity & Style

A diverse and stylish range of wines are produced on the banks of the Loire River. The reds are elegant and fine but the whites are the real stars: crisp Sauvignon Blanc, rich Chenin Blanc, opulent desert wines and frivolous sparklers. They are very, very food friendly.

Katrina has visited the Loire Valley many times. She worked on the harvest here in 2007 and has written a number of articles on the region.

She has spoken on Loire wines on several occasions, including to: wine clubs to people who want to know the facts; to informal groups who enjoy her traveller’s tales and to book clubs who mix wine with one of Katrina’s favourite authors, Rabelais, for an original Rabelaisian evening.
